Tom Marovich

Owner

Originally from Northwest Indiana, Tom Marovich began his career learning the trade from the ground up.  Integrity and an intense drive to make a proud stand in the community are what gave Tom his start.  Starting in the mid 1980s in Northwest Indiana, Tom and his wife Cindy were Marovich Construction, known for historical renovations,  new homes, remodels on Lake Michigan and in the area.   In the 1990's Tom's company was hired by Marriott, to install kitchens in the numerous hotels going up in Atlanta, GA in anticipation of the 1996  Olympics.

In 2000, after years of vacationing in Siesta Key, Tom and Cindy decided to purchase a vacation get away and invest in the Venice, FL area,  which is where Tom's relationship with a large local builder grew.  In 2004, Tom was offered a position with this company to be in charge of their "Custom Home Division".   This opportunity gave Tom the ability to learn the difference between building in Indiana and building in Florida, plus make lasting relationships with the city, the county, and vendors that would prove to be important in the future.   Tom's position soon expanded into "Director of Field Operations", which made him responsible for all construction projects in the field.

A few years later after the market changed, many construction companies closed up or moved from the area.   It was time for Tom to get his own Florida contractor's license, and bring the work ethic engrained in him from the north, to the Gulf coast of Florida.

In 2009 Northern Precision Inc., was born.   Their first custom home was built on the island of Venice.  That first home launched numerous  custom homes and the business expanded to do condo remodels, and home additions.   While most of Northern Precision's work has been waterfront, Venice Island, Casey Key,  Siesta Key and Manasota Key, the company also extends into many high end residential communities inland.

The diverse characteristics of the area have proven to be exciting and constantly changing.  What remains constant for Northern Precision, is their personalized service,  an energetic and solid work ethic, and the ability to live each day with the moral values instilled from the 1980's.    In the end, it has to be right!!
